Homestay message
Hello, Everyone! My name is Ericka and I am offering room and board in my home to a homestay student. I am currently a responsible,hard-working full-time professional and part-time graduate student (MLIS) and would like to experience a roomate sitution in which the environment is centered around studies and learning in a positive environment. I also like to enjoy life and partake in the many cultural, educational, and recreational events that Houston has to offer. I have a fully-furnished bedroom available in my newly rennovated vintage cottage in the Eastwood community of Houston Texas (3 miles from Texas Southern University, 2.6 miles from downtown, 2 miles from University of Houston Main campus, 6 miles to Rice University, buslines, and close to everything within the Inner Loop 610). I work at Rice University, therefore I am willing to provide transportation to Rice and the surrounding areas (Medical Center). The Living Areas, Kitchen, Office, and Bathroom are shared, so I will ask that you are a tidy/hygienic person. All utilities are included in the rental price (Electric, Water, Gas, and Garbage pick-up. Currently do not have cable, but would be willing to split the additional expense 50/50 (about $40 per month). High-speed internet, security, central ac/heat, ceiling fans, washer and dryer, off-street parking, and a nice yard are some of the amenities offered and included in the rental price. Outdoor smokers acceptable. I am an excellent cook and love to grill, so I am willing to provide breakfast and dinner. Airport pick-up and drop-off available with advance notice!
