I'm renting the master bedroom in an AWESOME 2 bedroom, 2 bath LOFT DOWNTOWN.

The unit is very CHIC and MODERN. Concrete floors, stainless steel appliances, 20 ft ceilings. There is a quaint back yard with comfy patio furniture and a chimnea. The room comes completely (and beautifully) furnished. It’s like having your own hotel room in the heart of downtown. You get your own bathroom with dual sinks, a separate tub and glass enclosed shower. You also get a ridiculously huge walk in closet!!! You’ll have full access to the living room/kitchen, all dishes and appliances. The building has an awesome rooftop terrace with direct view of downtown. You’ll get a covered parking space in a secured parking garage.

PERFECT LOCATION: The unit is 1 mile from downtown. I walk to the new Discovery Green park downtown in 10 minutes. The House of Blues, the Meridian, and Lucky’s pub are all less than a mile away. Minute Maid Park (Astros) Baseball stadium and Toyota Center (Rockets) Basketball stadium are also in walking distance. Midtown (dining & nightlife) is 5 minutes away by car. I work in the Galleria area and my commute is less than 20 minutes during rush hour. 5 minute drive to the University of Houston. Less than 10 minute drive to Rice University, the Village (shopping, dining, night life), Museum District, Herman Park, the Houston Zoo, Medical Center...

One-year LEASE REQUIRED: You pay $850 on the day you move in, and $850 on the same day each month afterwards. The payment of $850 will cover your room, all furniture, basic cable, electricity, water, wireless internet, and use of washer/dryer. Everything is covered except your food. (If I cook, I'll share.)

DEPOSIT: A nonrefundable deposit of $150 will be due in advance to cover the cost of keys, building access fob, and garage opener. (I’ll throw in a lovely key chain for free.)

PERFECT FOR:
*Young professionals
*Grad Students
*International students
*Someone who is new to Houston and has no furniture
*Anyone who loves to be in the heart of the city

ABOUT ME: I am a 28 year old single female...Houston native. I have degrees in accounting and Spanish (I can throw in free tutoring for students :-)) I have lived, studied, and worked abroad. I currently work as an auditor for a real estate company. I travel a lot for work (and pleasure), so I am almost never home. When I am in town, I spend a lot of time hanging out with family, friends, and my dog. I will be starting a full-time MBA program in August. (I will probably be home even less once I go back to school).

I am open to all cultures, religions and lifestyles. I don't watch much TV. I love all types of music. I am straight, but am fine with non-straight roomies. I love kids, but have none of my own. I do, however, have a very friendly (hyper) lab named Cha-Cha (so you'd have to be pet friendly). If Cha-Cha likes you, she will like to follow you around the house :-) I'm a night owl. I am very laid-back when it comes to roommates. The only rules are:
1) No nudist
2) NO SLOBS. (I am not a neat freak, but I make sure that all common areas are clean.)
3) No smoking in the house
4) ABSOLUTELY NO DRUGS.
